Maksat Arip, the former CEO of Kazakhstan Kagazy PLC and General Director of Kazakhstan Kagazy JSC, has been found guilty of contempt of court for failure to hand-over his collection of luxury wristwatches (valued at over $300,000).
Mr Arip was ordered by the English courts to hand-over his wristwatches in part satisfaction of the $315,000,000 judgment made against him in 2018, after Mr Arip was found to have committed a huge fraud on the Kagazy Group and its investors.
Should Mr Arip return to the UK, he will be arrested and imprisoned.
