In the spring 2013 Kazakhstan Kagazy in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce launched From Recycling to Donation project.
The goal of the project is to encourage companies to behave in a more environmentally friendly manner by recycling paper through Kazakhstan Kagazy, while supporting a charitable cause with the money they earn through recycling. AmCham’s Corporate Social Responsibility Group is hoping to involve a variety of AmCham companies in this project.
Supporting Kenes Center for Children with Special Needs
Founded in 1992, Kenes is a public, non-governmental organization which provides disabled children with education, social adaptation, and day care services. This enables them to live at home with their parents, instead of in an institution, and to develop into independent adults. The center helps its 60 students to realize their full potential by providing them with opportunities to develop life and work skills, make friends, and live life to the fullest.
From Recycling to Donation project is set to address a number of social problems. By giving waste paper to Kazakhstan Kagazy for recycling, you contribute to solving the problem of deforestation and demonstrate your environmental commitment. Sending the money to children with special needs, you help those who truly need it.
